About

Giovanni Priante was born in Puebla in 1994 and spent his formative years in Mexico City.

 

After studying industrial design in Florence, Italy, Giovanni decided to pursue his artistic aspirations and moved to New York City, where he finished the Grand Central Atelier 4-year training program.

 

While at the academy, he became the recipient of various grants and scholarships including multiple Structure Prix Awards and became a Hudson River fellow in 2022. Giovanni is currently a resident artist at GCA.
