Crafting a portrait sculpture of my mother was the highlight during my recent visit home to Mexico. It was a chance to catch up with her while she posed for me, giving me valuable time to bond and create.
The process had its challenges, mainly in finding all the necessary materials to begin sculpting. This delayed the start and I had to adapt to use what I had, but once I got going, it was worth it.
Though I didn't finish mounting the sculpture onto a base I was able to mold and cast it and I plan to return to finish it, adding the final touches to bring it to completion.
